The series gained its popularity for the Nintendo Wii back in 2010 in Japan, Europe and Oceania; even though Nintendo didn’t plan to introduce a North American release initially, but after a fan campaign named Operation Rainfall, it gained sufficient interest leading to a release for the region in 2012.
