Whether you’re a big fan of the classics like Need for Speed or Midtown Madness, or you’re into the more modern game titles such as Forza Horizon 5 or maybe The Crew Motorfest, we have put together a list of some of the best racing games available across the Internet. Irrespective of whether you play on PC or you want to play them on a console, these games not only offer you a fun filled & fully entertaining experience. If you want to make the most of this season, here are the top 6 racing games that you would not want to miss out on. So without further ado, buckle up and get set GO!
One of fan’s favorites, Forza Horizon 5 is one of those racing video games that’s set in an open world environment, a fictional map of the city of Mexico. The game indeed serves remarkably well when it comes to detailing and the map is definitely one of the largest there is, compared to what the designers had to offer in their previous game versions such as Forza Horizon 4 and so on. It also holds the highest score in the Horizon series because the map contains vast jungles, deserts, beaches, ancient mayan temples, towns spanning over cities and a very active caldera volcano. When you start playing Forza Horizon 5, you get the chance to explore the open world freely; while enjoying a cruise around the city is just one of those things you don’t want to miss out on, Forza also offers a multiplayer option. Compete with others in campaign mode, get some of the best cars and extensively customize it.
If you haven’t played Forza Horizon 5 yet, now might be the perfect time.
Launched in 2022, Gran Turismo 2022 is a racing simulator developed under the supervision of Polyphony Digital and obviously, published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is one of the eighth main installments in the Gran Turismo series and was released on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Not only can you enjoy this game on the big screen, but you can also play it in the virtual reality environment with PlayStation VR2 which makes the game all the better. The game brings dynamic time and amazing weather effects, and there’s a multitude of other returning features like the traditional racing tracks and vehicles. You can enjoy Special Events, play Championships, enroll in Driving School, and upgrade your vehicles at the Tuning Parts Shop. If you’re bored of using the same vehicle, you can take it to the Used Cars dealership.

If you’re into racing simulation video games, then Dirt Rally 2.0 is a game developed & published by Codemasters. Released in 2019, Dirt Rally 2.0, the game simply focuses on rallying and rallycross. The game is staged in different countries of the world like Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Spain and the United States. All of the stages are from the Dirt Rally original, just that these versions are all remastered. With Dirt Rally 2.0, you can choose from 50 different car types including the World Rallycross Supercars and some historic rally cars from the 60s and the 80s. The game was later expanded to 13 different locations through downloadable content.

One of the nostalgics, Grid Autosport is a racing video game also developed by Codemasters back in 2014. It was the third game in the Grid series, with an aim to give a more authentic feel to racing games at the time. With the release of Grid 2, Codemaster was hoping to see the fanbase grow exponentially, but apparently it was not all too well-received. Even though developers did put in the effort and performed all the major modifications, it still didn’t receive the well deserved attention as it should. With Grid Autosport, things drastically changed as many critics praised the game citing how Codemaster seemed to have “gone back to its roots.” In Grid Autosport, the player acts as a racing driver with opportunities to start and build their own racing career via the single player Career mode. You can also take part in multiplayer Online mode and customize the racing experience as per desire.
Whether you want to run circuits, play the custom cup mode or take up against other multiplayer with Split Screen, Grid series offers something of interest for just about everyone.
